This website has been existence for seven years, and I have decided it is time now to bring it to an end.
I am immensely grateful to those of you who have been regular readers. A special word of thanks is owed to the friends who have supported the site financially, provided information for news updates. and helped with technical issues.
The current pages will remain available for a number of months. Please take the opportunity to download them if you wish. There is no copyright charge for non-profit purposes.
On the LINKS page you will find a number of excellent alternative websites with similar interests to this one; some of them contain articles and sermons by me. I especially recommend the Courage site.
Gay Christians are still not fully accepted within most mainstream churches in the UK, especially if they are evangelical. However, the situation has improved in the last few years and in the long term it is inevitable, in my view, that this residue of prejudice will disappear. There will of course continue to be differences of opinion about the ethics of same-sex partnerships and the ordination of homosexual clergy, but these will eventually be expressed within the same framework of fellowship and tolerance as debates about divorce and abortion.
I hope this site has helped evangelicals to think about the issues involved, and provided encouragement to those gay believers who still struggle with feelings of rejection by the Christian community.
